Floaties 03:53
You could climb any mountain or you could just look up at the sky, with one eye Hold your thumb out and watch the moon disappear from right here. Don’t move, don’t think til you feel right, til you sleep. You could swim any any ocean, dive down deep to what you find, anytime Or you could just lay right here, sink into your bed & to your thoughts, and think lots But don’t move, don’t think til you feel right, til you sleep.

Sometimes you feel that you need something But you’re just not sure what it is So you stay up late and drink with some strangers Don’t get lost when you are out there just looking for it. Take your time when you feel like you have finally found it. Rewind your own mind to a time when you were so open And fell head first into everything but now it all seems so… Calm & distant. You know, I just don’t know. Don’t get lost when you are out there just looking for it. Take your time when you feel like you have finally found it.

Orange Hands 06:01
Your tongue is growing cold mullin’ all this over you can’t be so lost for so damn long So now to get it back, you gotta tell yourself something to remind you to feel Tie strings around your teeth and tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me something that I want to believe And on these sudden nights as it grows colder I feel a tidal wave coming up the hill. Is it here to save or is it here to take me? I ask myself time & time again That’s just how it feels when you are around me and I think that it’s all right …now, inside out, I feel it’s going down Sometimes I get so lost, I just sit in silence in awe of how unreal this all seems Like scars above your lips or oranges in your hands or the way it all unfolds me like a sheet So I take my time to sit and think about it ‘cause I feel that it’s all there’s left to do.

Don't Let Go 04:08
Oh to be right here, this must be what it’s like to have found a home of your own ‘Cause I’ve never even seen myself ‘til I found you in the dark now here we are, not lost… So don’t let go ‘cause I just disappear when you’re not near but I’m here when you’re around. And when it rains and the water’s at our knees we’ll still be seen, both you and me So hold on to my teeth, gently with your hands as I sing your name… And don’t let go ‘cause I just disappear when you’re not near but I’m here when you’re around

about

Rosie Plaza, the beloved Bay Area indie band, is thrilled to announce their highly anticipated final EP, "Take Your Time." This project holds significant meaning as the trio prepares to officially disband after its official release to pursue new personal & artistic endeavors. With four new tracks, the EP showcases their trademark blend of heartfelt lyrics and infectious melodies. While the words tell the story of isolation and connection, of feeling lost and found again through the wide range of human relationships life brings, the sound itself serves as a testament to Rosie Plaza's growth and maturity, capturing the peak musicianship and songwriting prowess of Nick, Russ, and Angel at this point in time.

Unlike their two previous projects that incorporated different eras of stylistic experimentation, “Take Your Time” was written in a more intentional, dedicated span of time and in greater collaboration with each of its members. The songs create a pleasantly nostalgic yet new, forward-feeling experience for listeners that pays homage to Rosie Plaza’s 90s to mid-aughts indie rock and 80s post-punk influences while cementing their unique musical identity.

about

Rosie Plaza Oakland, California

Rosie Plaza's wields a unique sound that shifts between 90s to mid-aughts indie rock and 80s post-punk. Complete with angular guitar riffs, melodic bass lines, and driving drums, Rosie Plaza writes songs that are at the same time poignantly sentimental and nostalgically angsty, drawing comparisons to bands like The Chameleons, New Order, the Smashing Pumpkins, Silversun Pickups, & Cloud Nothings. ... more
